Job Description:Editorial Assistant- Clinical group

responsibilities:

  • Reviews, analyses and summarizes scientific and technical literature relevant to particular journal
  • Ensure database maintenance which include scientific researchers information and mailing list
  • Cross check Journal web pages daily and make necessary changes in the website by updating dates & deadlines as required
  • Be main point of contact with editors, authors and reviewers for journal related queries and communications
  • Formation of editorial board by inviting qualified scientific researchers
  • Sending limited call for papers for quality articles
  • Manage timelines for article processing by inviting suitable editors and reviewers
  • Proof reading of accepted articles as per journal criteria
  • Updating accepted articles in current issue page with accepted, published dates and notify corresponding author
  • Preparation of special issue topics and inviting editor for that special issue
  • Confirm proposed special issue and ensure it releases within limitations of timeline
  • Organize and establish meetings on regular basis with editors to foster positive relationships
  • Evaluate journal scope to develop improved methods to get articles
  • Contacting associations, and collaborations to increase more number of contacts
  • Negotiates publication fees, and honorarium to editors
  • Attending meetings as required
  • Regular update of blog posting and social networking sites

Eligibility Criteria:

Education:

  • B.Tech (Biotech), B.Pharma, M.Pharma, M.Tech (Biotech), MSc (Biotech), MBBS and equivalent combination of training and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Individual must possess a minimum of 1 or 2 years experience in publishing sector or R & D experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical/Clinical companies

SKILLS:

  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to think outside the box
  • Effectively balance strategic thinking and execution in a fast-paced environment
  • Should exhibit creativity and resourcefulness
  • Must have strong and polished interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines
  • Should work with a team in order to accomplish monthly & yearly targets
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer application and database management

Reporting:

  • Report on the status of journal receiving, processing and revenue to Director, Manager and Team Leader regularly
  • Create Management Information Reports for further improvement of journal
